Precision Rifle Fundamentals Course

We’re delighted to announce that we are starting to offer structured training courses based on a fully in-house written curriculum. Our first lot of courses will be Precision Rifle Fundamentals which is a 1-day course delivered by members of the Precision Rifle Series UK Team. The Fundamental Courses will be delivered at different venues throughout the UK and will cost £200 per person. Classes are limited to a maximum of 15 to ensure high quality instruction can be given to all students.

On the day our instructors will take you through the fundamentals of Precision Rifle and Modern Marksmanship; a lot has changed since we all started shooting so it’s always good to keep with the times and understand how improved techniques and changes to your existing habits can improve you as a rifle shooter and competitor.

We will take you through and instruct and demonstrate the following, but not limit to;

– Range and Firearms Safety brief
– Understanding accuracy and precision
– Natural point of aim
– Sight Picture and parallax
– Breathing Control
– Trigger Control
– Follow-through process
– Recoil Management
– Reading your feedback down range
– 100yd drills
– Basic Ballistics and Environmental effects
– Introduction Wind Reading
– Engaging targets at further distances
– Positional Shooting Stance and how this affects your wobble zone.
– Positional Shooting & Supportive equipment (Standing, Kneeling, Low Kneeling/Sitting)

Expect to fire up to 100 rounds on the day.

No matter how experienced you are, this course will provide you with a whole new set of information that will not only improve you as Precision Rifle competitor and as a marksman, but as a hunter if you venture in to that field too.

Equipment needed on the day:
– Ear Protection
– Eye protection (should you wish to use it)
– Rifle (sub MOA)
– Optic with dial-able turrets
– Bipod
– Rear Support Bag
– Barricade Bag (Shmedium or similiar)
– Magazine(s)
– Ammunition (100 rounds)
– Your rifle data (D.O.P.E – be this handwritten or on a ballistic solver)
– Range Mat if you prefer
– Notepad and Pen
– Spotting Equipment and tripod (not essential but very handy if you have it)
